The University of Arizona is educating the next generation of resource managers through a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving. In addition, the concept of sustainability provides an integrating principal and organizing framework for research by harnessing the power of basic research to address real-world issues and meet societal needs.
The University of Arizona currently offers over 160 sustainability-relevant courses across 27 departments in 10 colleges, spanning a wide array of disciplines.
The University of Arizona has over 19 centers and programs working on sustainability research. The area of water sustainability has nine related centers and institutes, as well as 10 field sites, labs, and other research facilities.
