I am a junior transfer student from the Navajo Nation, a reservation located near the four corners in Arizona. Currently studying to earn a degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Arizona. Sustainability is important to me because I’ve always enjoyed learning from the community, the inherited knowledge of sharing the connection between people and the environment. I recognize that sustainability can have many definitions but I always see the health of the people and land to be an essential aspect. Outside of school, I enjoy reading and the book I recently finished was There There by Tommy Orange.
