Made possible through the generous support of the Kroger Company’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Initiative, Compost Cats has established three demonstration sites throughout the City of Tucson to host hands-on educational and outreach opportunities for Tucson community members. These opportunities, naturally, include a strong introductory orientation to the science and methods of composting but go well beyond these topics to include education in food security, carbon cycling, waste reduction, recycling, and broader sustainability issues.

The sites include the University of Arizona Community Garden, Cooper Center Demonstration Site, and Tucson Village Farm Demonstration Site.

We offer a variety of services, including educational tabling and presentations, tutorials of our various compost systems, games and promotional item giveaways, worm handling experiences, food waste audits, and arts & crafts.
