Lead a Sustainability Project - Apply for $500 - $50,000 in Funding!

As new and returning students re-energize campus, we encourage everyone to bring their ideas to make the university a more sustainable place.
The Campus Sustainability Fund (CSF) is excited to kick off the 2026-2027 year with their Mini and Annual Grant application cycle dates and deadlines. These grants provide an excellent opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to bring their sustainability ideas to life and to gain hands-on project leadership skills.
Eligible projects must directly address environmental sustainability and social sustainability, and directly or indirectly benefit students at the University of Arizona. All interested applicants can head over to the CSF’s website and review the Grant Application Information webpage to read about applicant and project eligibility, proposal criteria, and project team expectations. All proposals are submitted through our online portal.
Mini Grants – Close October 4, 2026
Funding requests can range from $500 - $10,000. Approved projects typically begin December – January and all projects must be completed by mid-May of 2027.
This year, we are pleased to announce a specific call for proposals for Arts & Sustainability Mini Grants. Funding will support a project that inspires thought, action, and discourse between the arts and sustainability. Projects may be led by students, staff, and faculty.

Indigenous-Centered Mini Grants - Close October 4, 2026
In collaboration with the Agnese Nelms Haury Program, the CSF offers Indigenous-Centered Mini Grant opportunities that are reserved for Indigenous-focused projects oriented toward environmental and social sustainability. Applicants can request either a $5,000 or $10,000 award. Approved projects typically begin December – January and all projects must be completed by mid-May of 2027.

Annual Grants – Close January 24, 2027
Funding requests can range from $10,000 - $50,000. Awarded projects will begin July 2027 and must be completed in May 2028.
