Tawni Eakman (She/Her/Hers)

I began working as the Graphic Designer for the Office of Sustainability in August of 2023. Our family is a recent transplant from Seattle, WA. I am eager to contribute to the Sustainability mission.

I was raised in Port Angeles, WA and have priceless memories of time spent with my family fishing, crabbing, and foraging mushrooms. Being responsible stewards of the land was a common theme in my community and laid a foundational interest and appreciation for sustainability.

After high school I studied Product Development and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. After working in the fashion industry, I pivoted towards working as a freelance creative and artist. The last few years I have focused on developing my pottery business.

My husband and I have 3 children and two dogs.  We enjoy camping, hiking, cooking and playing card games together.
