Louli "Lou" is the Campus Sustainability Fund (CSF) Coordinator and supports student employees in reviewing, selecting, and facilitating student-led projects that advance environmental sustainability on campus.

Although new to the Tucson community, Lou brings experience in collaborative, community-facing project facilitation and university program support. She graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in Environmental Ethics & Policy and a minor in Spanish where she was involved in initiatives focused on increasing access to outdoor education.

Following graduation, Lou spent three years working in partnership with Oregon Sea Grant, Oregon State University, and NOAA through the Oregon Coastal and Ocean Information Network (OCOIN). In this role, she collaborated with university researchers to map research locations, helping make their work more accessible to the broader public.

In addition, Lou has worked on a seed-saving urban farm and holds a deep appreciation for place-based, on-the-ground projects that prioritize the well-being of future generations. She is inspired by the thoughtful proposals that come through CSF and the emerging collaborations that have the potential to have lasting impacts on campus while serving as models elsewhere.

In her free time, Lou fixes and rides bikes.
