Take the Pledge!
Join the hundreds of Wildcats who have already pledged to be sustainable in their future careers.
About the Green Graduates Pledge
The Office of Sustainability is proud to encourage Wildcats to take a stand for sustainability. This pledge is an opportunity to join a growing network of graduates committed to creating a more sustainable and resilient world, both at graduation and in their future careers. Whether or not you pursue a degree in sustainability, you can apply sustainable practices in any career path. From engineering to business, healthcare to the arts, every field offers opportunities to reduce environmental impact, support thoughtful decision-making, and advance ideas that strengthen organizational performance and community well-being.
While anyone can take the sustainability pledge, pins are only available for pickup on the U of A Main Campus and Phoenix Bioscience Core. We cannot ship pins to pledgers at this time. If you have any questions about the program, please get in touch with Kenzie Jackson at makenziejackson@arizona.edu.
What is Sustainability?
The University of Arizona defines sustainability as creating the conditions for human and ecological systems to thrive indefinitely by taking forward-looking actions that promote a resilient, inclusive future in balance with natural systems. It encompasses the balanced integration of environmental responsibility, economic viability, and collective well-being for present and future generations.
