Campus Sustainability Survey

Your choices matter.

About the Campus Sustainability Survey

The Office of Sustainability is conducting the first university-wide sustainability survey to gather input from main campus students, faculty, and staff. The Campus Sustainability Survey is a tool to evaluate the success of our sustainability outreach and education initiatives, and to develop insight into how those initiatives can be improved. Please take 10-minutes to fill out the survey, and to help make campus a more sustainable place!

Students, faculty and staff who complete the survey by October 25, 2026, and choose to provide their contact information will receive a 20% discount coupon to use in-person at the Campus Store in the Student Union and can opt in to enter a drawing for a Campus Store eGift Card valued from $20 to $100. Your input will inform new initiatives, from water and energy conservation to alternative transportation, waste management, and sustainable dining.

Data Uses

Data collected will help the Office of Sustainability better understand perspectives and priorities throughout the campus community, helping guide the direction of sustainability efforts in the coming years. The survey also supports the university's Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS) reporting and its goal of achieving a Gold rating. Results will inform efforts to improve outreach, engagement, and education across the university community and help identify ways to encourage sustainable behaviors. A NetID is required, but participation is confidential, and results will be reported anonymously.

Results and Answers

Check back in early 2027 to see results and answers to literacy questions from the survey! In the meantime, go to our Resources Page for additional information, programs, and steps for the campus community to continue our sustainability journey.

The Campus Sustainability Survey will run every 2 years to assess progress in sustainability efforts and literacy across campus.
