Create Sustainability Educational Materials for the Workforce

This initiative proposes to implement a mandatory sustainability training module for all employees to address escalating climate risks and align university employee actions with the university’s sustainability goals. This module aims to educate employees on Tucson's climate challenges, the university's commitment to climate neutrality, new policy expectations, available resources, and ways individuals can contribute to a sustainable campus. Actionable items include:

• Develop a multilingual sustainability module in EDGE Learning for all university employees, covering basic sustainability topics, the university's sustainability commitments, and practical actions employees can take to support sustainability efforts.
• Make the sustainability module mandatory for faculty, staff, and student employees, with a requirement for annual refreshers to keep information current.
• Integrate aspects of sustainability into standard job descriptions across all university positions in collaboration with Human Resources and the Office of Sustainability.
