7.2
This initiative proposes to implement a comprehensive survey strategy within the University of Arizona community to continuously gather feedback and insights on campus sustainability, including the Sustainability & Climate Action Plan. This survey aims to engage all campus stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors, ensuring their active participation and input throughout the plan's implementation and evolution. Actionable items include:
- Create a flexible and accessible survey tool aligned with the Sustainability & Climate Action Plan, allowing for iterative adjustments based on evolving priorities and feedback.
- Implement incentives such as entry into contests for significant prizes (e.g., tickets to events, Campus Store gift cards) to encourage widespread participation and engagement.
- Include questions in the survey to assess the impact of climate anxiety on respondents, addressing mental health concerns sensitively while gathering valuable data.
- Strive for a representative sample across all demographics within the university community, ensuring diverse voices shape the ongoing sustainability efforts effectively.
